Well ENTROPY did it again with another great night under the heading of METAL ASSAULT!!! What a great night we all had!
Entropy is a 4 piece thrash outfit from Liverpool and been together for quite a number of years!
I have now seen ENTROPY about 10 times and each time I see them they just blow the roof off! Daz the mighty front man of the band just has the crowd eating out of his hand.
Glad I got to hear ‘Walk Alone’ again for the second time. First being at the K on the 13th May when it got an airing!
The band dived straight into their first number with the awesome ‘Gulf of Misery’ a really fast and brutal track. Its thunderous melody and catchy hook lines are brilliant!
‘Attrition’ the second track from the band has a slower opening but none the less still brutal in its own right with some great breakdowns!
‘Reclamation’ is a powerful track with no let up! It thunders into a wall of sound that just melts the brain. Karl’s guitar blisters into action, although in Karl’s usual cool style he remains composed at ALL times, while all around him just turns to chaos!
Rob played most of the set with his eyes closed as he got well and truly into his stride, hitting that kit with totally ferocity, was awesome to see!
‘Weapons of war’ is another blisteringly fast track and now a clear fave. It really kick ass to the highest level and with Ian’s pounding bass comes into its own! You can’t even head bang in time to it. Not without your brains flying out of your ears anyway!
As the end of the set approaches Daz starts to play the crowd and asks them to participate by saying “This was the first track I learned, it needs no introduction and I am NOT going to sing on this one, it is up to you!” he proceeds to play ‘Enter Sandman’ by Metallica and the mics were shown to the crowd and everyone joined in the singing.
Just before the last track Daz also says “I am sure you all know what to do now?” and looked into the crowd, with sweat pouring from him, and a big grin on his face…. I immediately knew what to do and as the guitar started up I went into overdrive (or should that be overload?) fist in the air and started chanting “Oi Oi Oi” to which the rest of the crowd followed. Daz replied with “She knows what to do!” Oh indeed Daz after ten times of seeing you live, I know exactly what to do! :D and did it!
Great show yet again guys…. And here’s to the eleventh time. I could never get enough ENTROPY!!!!
Not sure what happened after the bands had finished playing but the Zanzi apparently caught fire…… REALLY!
A big thanks to Pat, Paul, Max, and Zack at the Zanzi you guys are awesome!
Also thanks to all the bands playing Metal Assault you gave us all a night to remember!!!
And to the bands that came and supported the bands playing on the night! ) Stu – Scare Tactics, Sick Circus, Gaz – Apollyon – Good to see such support!
