The
Stories:
“Blake
Seawell’s fantasies turn into bloody violence in four short films about his
dreams of sadism. He encounters assassins, crime lords, ruthless underworld
thugs, serial killers, murderous con artists and either work with them or falls
victim to them. Blake’s world is
ultra-violence personified. He cannot
seem to decide on being the sadist or being the submissive victim!”

Seeing
the words gore, strong threat and bloody violence makes me want to run a mile
and yet with all the Martin Daniels
releases I find myself drawn into his mad violent world just to see what
happens. It is a world I don’t come across every day thank goodness but it has
always intrigued me and piqued my interest. For the gory bits I will just have
to listen and use my imagination as my fingers will be glued over my eyes,
while my blood pressure soars.
The
mere fact that these stories give just a glimpse into a mind where violence and
sadism have a big part to play inside Daniel’s head is quite strange, but yet
compelling. I am not big on this side of things I don’t really understand it
but the intrigue holds a certain fascination as to what makes other’s tick.
Suffering:
Starts
off with Blake Seawell in his car and making a call to Daniel Reese who goes
down to meet Seawell and who informs Daniel that his friend is arriving also.
As she gets into the car she hits Daniel and then chloroform’s him as the car
speeds away while laughing at their deeds.
The
scene cuts to Daniel on the floor in a room with a brick wall and sitting in a
chair is the frightful Vera Bremerton, who plays Cynva. Cold and calculating
she never flinches at anything but gives out orders to others with no emotion
behind her heavily made up eyes.
The
two women start to kick and abuse Daniel, who seems not to fight back, which I
find almost unbelievable, nor does he seem scared but takes his punishment
seemingly well.
In
a twist that I never saw coming Daniel gets up from the floor and stands next
to Cynva and the women then turn on Seawell. A gun is pulled by Daniel on the
two women and they are searched. In another twist Daniel’s foot fetish is
released as he removes one of the women’s black stiletto shoes and rubs her
foot into his face, with seeming conviction.
Cynva
is unmoved and plucks a hypodermic syringe out of her garter and walks over to
Daniel and plunges it into his neck without any struggle and then proceeds to
shoot him and everyone else in the room, making no difference if they are dead
or not.
Cynva
goes outside and makes small talk with another women and they both speak in a
foreign language as the final scene ends.
I
really cannot say much about the first short story as I am somewhat confused by
it. The turn from Daniel being the victim to Seawell and then Daniel pulling
the gun on the two women and then Cynva plunging a hypodermic into Daniel’s
neck, hardly seems to point to anything other than kill for the sake of
killing, maybe this was the exercise but so far little is making sense.

Privacy
Invasion:
The
second story starts with Seawell talking to his sister on the way to an
apartment, they are seen inside the room where Maria says to her brother “did
you hear anything?”
Outside
four people are seen getting out of a black car and making their way inside the
apartment block carrying a holdall and once inside they are all given masks to
wear.
The
bell rings and Maria goes to answer the door, as she opens it she is set upon
by the thugs and Seawell is also attacked, as one of the women flicks a lighter
and burns one of his feet, although you don’t see it happen but the sound
effects are very realistic.
The
thugs see a safe and remove papers, collecting them into the holdall and tie up
their victims before leaving.
Outside
they get into their car and drive off with Charlene saying she feels sick and
for the driver to stop the car – this may be a sign for Nikki to hand her a gun
and shoot the driver, but in full view of passing cars on a busy road? We now know this is a fantasy!
Maria
wakes up and tries to alert her brother, but the thugs come back to the apartment
and kill them both, removing more papers before going outside and are greeted
by Dr Davenport who congratulates them all and drives off.

The
Complex:
Business
man Blake Seawell receives a phone call from another business associate who
says he has laid on a car with two body guards and a driver that will pick him up
at 11 o’clock the next day. But as the car pulls into this warehouse the driver
says he doesn’t like the look of the place and goes to check it out.
Unfortunately he gets shot and so do the body guards and Seawell gets captured,
taken into a room where there are 5 knives on a table. The associate Terence Grant
has a grudge and wants revenge on Seawell. Placing a plastic bag over Seawell’s
head. One of thugs asks Lisa one of the
women to go and check to see if all is clear outside and as she does she gets
accosted by two other women who strangle her. Cynva also leaves the room gun in
hand and hears a door creak open, but this time she isn’t as lucky to escape a
knife in the back. The two women who
have strangled and knifed her go in to rescue Seawell from the business
associate who turns out to be a friend of Seawell’s – then as the business
associate leaves a man and a woman appear and kill him plus Seawell then turn
and close the door behind them.

The
Room of Arch:
Seawell
wants revenge on a guy that has been slippery in the past and calls a woman to
get him to call over to his apartment. The woman waits for the guy and then
strangles him while Seawell waits behind a wall and once the deed is done they
congratulate each other. He asks this woman to stand guard outside the door
while another woman comes over for some bedroom practice. Seawell and Belinda
Arch get down and dirty with a bottle of champagne. She slips a tablet in
Seawell’s drink. Meanwhile there is trouble afoot when two people make their
way up to his apartment, meeting the woman on the door who unfortunately gets
shot leaving the way clear. Apparently the tablet has stunned Seawell and he is
unable to stop the multiple stabbing’s from Belinda as the blood spatters over
everyone, although it wasn’t as bad as I first imagined or maybe I am just
getting accustomed to the harsh realities of Martin Daniel’s mind! It seems
Davenport recruits assassins and the scene is set as Seawell and Belinda are
tied up and left to the delights of the assassins.

appears in what seems like a dream scene and Seawell says he thought he was
sleeping but Daniel reassures him that it will all be over soon and a woman
comes in and holds Seawell’s nose and clamps her hand over his mouth, in the
final scene.

I
have to say that after watching these videos I was a little bewildered as to
why the acting was not executed in a more realistic way with regard to the male
actors. I still cannot take in that a man or men would not be able to over
throw a woman even one with a gun so that did deflect a bit, although it did
tell me that the men were quite happy to be overthrown by women!
The
women were as brutal as ever and appeared cold and harsh through-out the
video’s entirety, especially Vera Bremerton who would strike fear into the
heart of Satan himself.
Some
of the characters were not clear enough so it made it slightly difficult to
follow and with the amount of gun shots going off as to who was doing what and
why the victims suddenly turned into the perpetrators was slightly confusing
too.
But
it isn’t easy to fathom what goes on in people’s minds especially one like
Martin Daniels. Things can and usually do turn vile when he is around.
The
one thing I got which was very important on this DVD was that the fact that
dreams or fantasies don’t always play out in real life, and are indeed a
figment of one’s imagination and they are stunted and jump from frame to frame
and this feeling was very well executed in all of the four short stories, but let's hope these fantasies stay truly buried within the savage mind of Martin Daniels, we don't want them escaping that's for sure!
My
fantasy however would be to win the lottery – but each to their own!
