Genre:
Dark Electro / EBM / Minimal
In the bands
own words:
“In February
2002, just read from the drive out was founded to unite our own musical tastes
and implement our songs. After the surprisingly good resonances to the first
demos, we developed the claim to want to achieve more. Added were more band
members to jointly realize our set goals.
The first
official CD "statement" was then released in 2006 on the U.S. label
Hypervoxx and blossomed in the United States to tip and has even achieved a
ranking in the American alternative charts. The following CD's "morphosis
E.P", "Metamorphosis" and "vision: CIVIL E.P" was then
released on our own and also brought the hoped for attention in Germany.
Readjustment
could be seen from now on to more and more live (next solo gigs as support for
bands like Agonoize, Spetsnaz, Noisuf-X, SITD, psyche, Leichenwetter or
Stahlmann) and also the DJ's discovered the potential of various songs .
Published with the CD "Level of Courage" 2010 on the British scene
Rebco Records label, then the final breakthrough and we had established ourselves
on the scene.
This was followed
by the album "Relaunch E.P" (2010), "Mind Walk" (2011) and
"Alive ..." (2012), which made a major contribution to the further
strengthening of our band on the scene. Cooperation with other bands (e.g.
Nightmare Supreme Court TraKKtor, Leichenwetter, All the Ashes, C-Lekktor
angstfabrikk, Centhron, Incubite) also for increasing awareness about the
borders of Germany has provided. Over the years, in our own style, more and
more developed, until it finally became Melodic Electro Body. So reADJUST hit the nail on the head.
Strong melodies
combine with elements of EBM, dark electro classic, minimalism and a touch and
merge with moderately distorted vocal and snappy lyrics into an independent
symbiosis.
On stage, convinced
by an energetic show, where we also convey the fun and let the sparks fly with
the audience.
Even after over
11 years as a band we still have lots of energy and creativity, so that a
cessation of no thought is wasted. reADJUST
will always go out of our way to try and improve ourselves constantly and
continue to develop. True to its intent: WE WANT TO PROCEED!”
**
Germany is rife
with bands from this interesting and select niche. reADJUST are just one of
the bands who have found themselves in this superb and attention-grabbing
genre.
It still amazes
me that at the click of a mouse more and more bands spring into life and become
part of yours. It is also great to know
that despite the distance their music can be heard and enjoyed although getting
to gigs proves much more difficult.
reADJUST is noteworthy and appealing from start
to finish, and this very stimulating 17 track is awash with plenty of
fascinating and motivational tracks all ready and waiting for you to lend your
ears to!
The album cover
is simple but eye catching and well in keeping with the title: Alive depicts
two graphs which signify the fact that you are indeed alive. There is no need
to embellish the cover any further.
Alone
That wonderful
dark electro feel comes alive and you feel anything but alone as the beat
forges heavily from the speakers along with some splendorous evil screeching
vocals dark and edgy. The exciting rhythms surround you like a warm cloak of
sumptuous notes and with that your body just explodes into jerky movements in
time to the music and as for your feet, well mine refuse to keep still.
Grab and Store
Gonna grab me a
bit of this and store it in the old memory bank. Rigid beats just flurry
uncompromisingly offering more superb evil vocals. Shrill keys just keep on
flowing with luscious rhythmic content.
Pech und Schwefel – Pitch and Sulphur
Swaying rhythms
and a more robotic vocal comes into play on this ear-catching track which
already has me reaching for the volume control. That thud of mesmerising beats
make my heart miss a beat, the keys are just wonderful, powerful and intense –
this is one track I will be repeating very shortly. The fact there is German
contained within the track all adds to the flavour – just prefer when bands
sing in their mother tongue – so lecker, wasser im Mund!!!
Pride
Harmonious,
dark, brooding with shrill key accompaniment make this a track that holds
further intrigue. The vocals evil and unholy never far away, and the ominous
thuds, basking in rhythmic fascination continue – a really great track to
practise a few dance moves.
Trauerflor - Crepe
Nice sturdy
beats and rhythms collectively bring a swaggering sensation of lip smacking
appeal. Superb vocals add spice to an already mouth-watering track.
Breaking News
Great
incidental samples with a gut wrenching beat that is slightly slower in pace
but none the less brutal. Choppy little keys add to the interesting rhythms as
the incidental samples continue.
Wahre Helden – True Heroes
A fuller
sounding track with rolling beats and tempestuous rhythms giving you that
uncontrollable urge to don the furry boot covers and take to the dance floor
with emotional and wild abandon! – The true heroes are indeed reADJUST. Another memorable track!
Stab my Back
Get the knives
out! This track is compelling and intense with edgy beats, emotional rhythms
that intermingle with a scathing vocal – licking my lips already! My body is
doing crazy things right now! This is music that urges you to move! It really
gets under your skin and infects you with an addictive drug – once heard you
want more! Anyone not made of stone will literally want to move to this piece
of exceptional music.
Memories
So far all the
tracks I have sampled on the CD are something out of the ordinary and this
track is no exception to that rule as it holds brutal beauty all its own. The
hard damning beats will eat you alive – and most definitely will give you good
memories!
The Truth
“Explosive and
implosive” The sampled voice explains the meanings to a hard edged dance beat –
I know which one I am at the moment and it doesn’t have the word “in” at the
beginning :D The swirling array of keys; along with the choppy quick paced
synth give it that amazing sound of raw, with a barrage of prowess.
Dead Whore (Remix by Die Braut) - The Brews
This sounds
like a floor filler just with the first six notes! Broody and melodic with tons
of hard violent rhythms, I am amazed I haven’t worn the carpet out! This is extremely
intense with a barrage of sound that will literally flood the audial canal.
Insane explicit lyrics with a mesmerising pounding of killer beats!
Pride (Remix by ES23)
Orchestral
sound of haunting melodic and building rhythms that will pulverise you with the
scathing beats – scornful vocals give it a smack to the groin as the sound
pulsates rhythmically with serious caustic effects.
Dead Whore (Remix by Trakktor)
More harmonious
build up with a big drum sound and haunting little keys - A blistering track!
Jagged synth adds to its tremendous raucous powerful melody – “Want to get up
and dance appeal” – this is one such track!
Only Silence Remains (Remix by Doswerk)
I certainly
hope not! This little track is bubbly and lively and offers a brutal scathing
barrage of vocals that will tear you apart! It doesn’t give you a minute to
breathe before battering you half to death with its melodic rhythms.
Golden Cage (Remix by Kontaminant)
I wasn’t too
keen on Kontaminant’s track on the “Now that’s what we call British Industrial”
but this track has a goal and does not wander around aimlessly. It has a more
sinister edge to it – dark, brooding and malevolent – the scourge begins – derisive
and mocking in tempo with critical beats although slower it offers a nice solid
intensity and overlaid with sweeping rhythms a plenty.
No Surrender (Remix by Final Solution)
Chugging effect
that is both sinister and wounding cleverly building to haunting levels of
brooding with startling force, the biting rhythms solid with cascading beats
that flurry with melodic overtones of synths are just superb.
Army of Bastards (Remix by Angstfabrikk)
Building to
contemptuous intensity amid a critical haunting synth sound with great bass
this track then explodes with a sneering vocal. Reverberating beats and a vast
array of melodious rhythm – great track!
This two man
army of melodic body electro fiends have not compromised anything here and produced
an amazing album that is nothing short of genius. It is such a pity that the UK
has not cottoned on to this genre as yet, as it offers an exciting and
interesting twist to the scene.
The dress code
is also interesting as well as eye catching and the dance moves are awesome to
watch. All in all, this genre is feisty, offers brutality with loads of melodic
twists and techno beats the body cannot ignore. It is the whole package deal.
Each track on
this amazing album with its rigorous scathing beats, tasteful floor filler rhythms,
haunting melodic synth, thunderous bass and superb vocal content should appeal
to a vast majority and already does in Europe – it is indeed a select niche
that now needs to be filled in the UK.
I urge you to
at least give this album a listen and if you are not convinced by the end of it
then I will be more than surprised!
