Biography:
This
five-headed metal monster from Trondheim, Norway is a living proof that
Norwegian heavy music isn´t all about black metal. The Norwegian aggression,
the swede-inspired melodies, and the American ground and pounding riffs, it all
comes together in this brutal mix of genuine musicianship.
02. September
2011 saw the release of their debut album titled "Dead or
Victorious", and like the title says, this is what the band is all about.
Blood, sweat, sacrifice and brotherhood.
Cornered
Distinctive and
thunderous this track leaves scars of the deepest variety. Scathing vocals lift
the highly charged tempos and leave a trail of destruction. Fierce drumming
that no doubt will leave drummer Thomas with no skin on his feet. This is a toxic track
that swells with a thick and bruising energy!
You’re Murder Scene
More highly
charged rhythms pound furiously into a ball of contagious frenzy. You will feel
your ears burn from the inside out as the mesmeric riffs come reigning down in
a thick torrent of confrontation and feeds rigorously on the soul, whilst
hosting a superb melodic propulsion with great sonic bass lines that will corrupt you in
a hail of black smoke.

Diggin’ Deeper
Sculpting some
of the finest strings this track is glorious and sweet in offering a torrent of
magnitudal waves and then the onslaught hits you like a pickaxe to the brain.
Vocally it will rip your ears off and feed them to the demons that lurk within
this track!

Lies
Bursting into
the next track this is fired up with a colony of gigantic riffs that feed off
the bruising vocal that tops the word intense. Whilst still containing
infectious melody the track reaches climax quickly and gnaws on rhythmic
assault on a grand scale.

Walls of Sanctuary
The addictive
grooves keep on coming... with nagging rapaciousness and unleashed rhythms
burning to inventive chugs and frenzied beats, still climbing higher to reach
one conclusion – intimidating and toxic! Refreshingly vibrant and energetic and
ripe to head bang to.

Cottonmouth
Breaking the
shackles to go on a violent rampage of deadly assault, its rhythms more than
scathing as they latch on to the aural and burn like caustic malevolence.
Voracious and prowling like a weary predator seeking its vulnerable prey.
Prepare for a cataclysm of rabid anger.

No Sympathy
Soaring to a climax very early on this fiery track chugs into frenzy mode and is intent on
killing its victims, persistently gnawing on the ears with rabid vocal
offerings and giving out a tsunami of beats that sweep furiously to some jagged
shredding – definitely ‘No sympathy’ was given on this track!
Remember Me
No rest for the
wicked as this track plunges into total annihilation gathering pace and
sweeping all in its wake and leaves a trail of utter destruction. The lower
grating gravelly vocals coupled with a higher pitched scream will leave you
invigorated into submission. A torrent of acid rain is paramount on this track!
Redemption
The addictive
assault continues spreading wild and outlandish rhythm that bristles with
caustic energy as it ravages endlessly to some driving riffs and solid vocal
delivery. Constantly offers cantankerous and satisfying grooves that will beat
you into willing submission and gives the listener plenty of food for thought
upon which to feast.
Dead or Victorious
The title track
on the album, this eats human flesh in one savage bite! Ridiculously heavy,
deals deadly blows of compelling excitement, explores the top end of the scale
for extreme caustic vibrancy and vocal mesmorisation. Fluid and powerful it gently slows to allow
some beautifully carved chords of wonder before ripping the soul out of your
body.
To Sum up:
Every track on
this album is compelling to the next. There is no let-up in frenzy and fire and
will draw the listener into its bruising crescendo of rabidity with ease.
Intense and exciting it will drag you into its darker realms of beauty and poised
in places to offer an insight into its slightly more tender moments although
very short lived and prefers to go for the jugular leaving nothing behind –
apart from total destruction - of course!
Holding a
glimpse of diversity that outlines the superb musicianship of The Hate Colony. This band is greedy as
it employs every rhythm known to head bangers for its own malicious purpose. Very
technically skilled and passionate offering a great expanse of creativity and
unique drive – Truly extreme, whilst being very seductive and bristling with melodic
fire - The Hate Colony have got this
album all sewn up!
Highly charged
and highly recommended for all you eager to be crucified metal heads. Igniting, immense, intense and ferocious...
The metal intensity is there for all to see and hear providing you can stand
the caustic toxicity – not for the faint of heart – likely to cause grand mal
seizures and heart attacks!!!!!! Bring on the ravishment!!
