“Sturmgeist.Fornicator.Insultus
vocalist/lyricist and founder member of black metal band Mundus and Suffering. Mundus
has been an established name since 2003 by Sturmgeist.Fornicator.Insultus but
not had much luck being an established band, due to various members coming and
going due to lack of commitment and various other reasons. Andras has now been
enlisted as our new guitarist. Mundus
is currently and urgently looking for a guitarist, bassist and a drummer to
rebuild the line-up. If you or anyone you know would be interested then contact
us ASAP, we would really appreciate it! We also really appreciate all the
support we are getting from all our fans and people we know, so thank you all very
much! HAIL SATAN to you all and HAIL MUNDUS!!”
Looking for a
meaning to the word Mundus and at
least four were found, the first being - ‘Devil May Cry’ which is a series of
video games set in the modern day, developed by Capcom, created by Hideki
Kamiya and produced by Shinji. Secondly - A guy’s state of mind after he sees
the girl of his dreams...He just can't believe it! The third is adornment and I
will not mention the last, but whatever it is Mundus
the band is the most extreme and heavily versed in Satanic Black metal I have
heard.

Addicted to
Feminine Flesh
A subtle
beginning of eerie ambiance and samples of distant thunder to a steady
guitar. Vocally angst ridden and gnarly
it is safe to say these vocals scour their musical bleakness with an emotional
terror. Just imagine a vocalist gargling glass and you will have some idea as
to how gruesome this is sounding!
Lusts and
Midnight Moons
The eerie
screeching sounds like it is emanating from the deepest bowels of Hell with
dark resonating, building guitar and is one mighty jumble of raw and (un)pure
satanic metal that will indeed possess your soul as soon as you listen.
Mircalla
Karnstein
Strangely deep
resonating guitar begins it ambling and meandering until a gruesome gnarly
vocal spews forth into the eerie blackness with a slow ambient graze of evil
malevolence, and screeched to a conglomerate of noises – I think a crucifix is
needed here not that I believe in God, but more for comfort value!
The Dark
A distorted
buzzing epitomises the sounds of hell like it should reside in the Amityville
Horror house! The vocals sound torturous amid a climbing guitar that carves its
path through total chaos.

Aborted by hell... This project sees a variety of styles all deep seeded within
the black metal genre and is a true expression into the mind set of Razakel

Better off Dead
Blisteringly
black, bleak and unholy – this track really gives the impression that you are
dead and landed in hell as you witness the emotionally pressuring scourge of
guitar and distant incoherent vocal that is spewed out to some insane drumming.
Alone I wander
Do not turn this
track up, for the simple reason, it is much louder than the previous array of gnarliness and will
split your head open upon listening. Again it is bleak and unbridled with deep
dark and passionate ambiance of driven guitar and snarled vocal.
Failure -
Worthless Life
This has faster
moments of guitar attached to a grisly vocal onslaught and is unforgiving as it
is merciless, however, it does have a solid melody running through it as evil
as it is.

Very little is
known about the mysterious Lord Andras other
than he plays Guitar and Drums for Mundus.

Tragedy of
Twisted Souls
For whom the
bell tolls? This is slow and bleak ambient with an eerie twist of malice and
black melancholy. Vocally impacting with a lot of direction all of it pointing
downwards – to hell, of course! Thunderous and shrill guitar vibrates
throughout the track and does invent a powerful imagery of death.
My heart once
sang aloud instrumental
Crisp guitar
moments to savour here amid the dramatic surrounding sounds of a sparse drum
beat that beats slower than a dying heart!
The deep rumblings blend effortlessly into a powerful array of sinister
goings on.
The Vampiric
Tyrant – Satanic Warmaster
Laden with
crisp cymbals and mesmerising guitar riffs it is as ferocious as black metal
gets with a driving rhythm of solid fortitude. Again vocally urgent and
encroaching with an evil breath of darkened screeching to pummelled beats.
Countess
Bathory Live - Venom Cover
A very ‘dry’
recording of the track although it is a good rendition, it would have been
better to have it recorded in a studio for the split, to give it a more crisp
sound, however it does give us an insight into how the band would fair live.

“Lord Forneus began in music in the late
90's.Playing in various local bands but not being able to find the right path.
Eventually, after various music outings, in 2004 Winter Forest Industries was
formed. This was a multi genre collection of artists & projects, either by
or including Forneus. Then around
2005 Forneus began playing guitars
for local band Krieg’s Philosophies. The band was started as a drunken covers
fuck about until they discovered they actually wrote good Black Metal together.
Thus, a split with other UKBM projects was released in late 2007 followed by
the only 2 demo's the band ever made in the middle of 2008. The band declined
several invitations to gig with various European & Canadian bands in and
around these territories. The band went their separate ways over the next few
years, neither confirming nor denying they have split forever but they feel the
project served what it needed for them personally so a reunion is unlikely.
During this
time around 2006, Forneus made his first
proper solo recordings which remained the only material until 2012. It was at
the point of Krieg’s Philosophies releases that Forneus had started writing material for a proper project. A band
was formed but nothing was written or often rehearsed due to line up issues. By
now, Winter Forest was more developed and in 2010, Mists of Poveglia was the
first official release by an artists from this 'stable' of projects. A year and
a half passed and finally the project began in 2008 was now named Grimsvotn. The
first raw lo fi demos appeared, and over the course of several EPs & one
full length album the band gathered pace and everyone including the members
await live rituals. It was from these connections that Forneus became involved in a UKBM split by some of the darkest
artists in the current scene. So, in 2012 Forneus
wrote the first full solo tracks since the very first ones back in 2006. The
split came to light finally in 2013 after much trouble securing a label big
enough to cope with such darkness...”

Ancient Halls
of Regret
The strange
distorted malevolent chaos exudes through the speakers into one eerie shot of
madness – blacker than black, more Hellish than hell. Just too much distortion
to fully get a feel of where the track is going.
Pentagram of
Stoners
Stupendously
fast array of euphoric guitar to some gnarly growling, grisly vocal that is
totally incomprehensible but all adds to this fuelled and emotionally charged
track.
Anti-Everything
– (Re working of Anti-Christ by Sepultra)
Typical black
metal that drives into the unknown with bleak grunts and muted guitar riffs
that suddenly turn into a faster array of frets – beating the ‘dark’ fantastic
are some highly delicious drum beats that really gives the track some clout!
War Cry
Edgy and
antagonistic but just a filler track that really serves no purpose other than
to waste a bit of time.
Abattoir –
Napalm Death Cover
A torturous
scream can be heard crying out in what sounds like pure agony to a darkened
array of distorted guitar and pummelling beats in this dizzying array of
bleakness.
To Sum up: Pick of the crop:
Lord Andras certainly stands out for me as having
some sort of direction musically other than just contrived black metal that
simply knocks out distortion with no true path, however compelling. Tragedy of Twisted Souls is a superb
track as the balance is met and peppered with dark ambiance, haunting passages
and glass shattering vocals.
Razakel Krieg and Failure – Worthless Life is an amazing track and whistles through
the aural in this grisly array of melting black metal, that adds plenty of
atmospherics and gnarly, gruesome vocal in every shape and form with plenty of
rhythmic quality.
Sturmgeist.Fornicator.Insultus – Addicted to
feminine flesh, is without a doubt quite an interesting track for the sound effects
alone. It is certainly a brooding encounter of heated, twisted vocal that must
be spawned by the devil himself as the music spirals itself eerily around some
doom laden rhythms. The screams are terrifying – be warned! It is the official sacrilegious
slaughter that turns into a mega love making session and weather the woman is
getting throttled at the end is for you to decide.
Very apt for the above track!
Lord Forneus – Anti Everything (Re-Working of
Anti-Christ by Sepultra) is an immense array of beguiling and bewilderment
as a myriad of dishevelled guitar riffs emanate to a squally, biting, intense
vocal onslaught.
‘The Four Tyrants’ are indeed that and
have concocted some gristle and bone with these tracks, however, not
recommended for night time listening as it is likely to give you nightmares,
and if you do listen at night, I urge you to take a crucifix and place it under
your pillow – just in case, as you don't know what you might unleash!
One downright
obscure album for the totally bizarre!
