Rat City
The rugged bass lines and striking guitar blend superbly to a
hypnotic drum beat in this four minute and twenty eight second epic track. The
intensity is never far away and holding an immense scorch of instrumental
provocation, that simply transforms itself into a rich lingering rhythmic swathe of
beauty that is very moreish!
The amazing Rat King - Tyler, Daniel and Ricardo
The Notion/the Motion
Startling and attention grabbing the strange noises whistle and hum
in an imaginative plundering of the mind.
The rampaging beats cascade to form the backbone of this mighty
enterprising track, while the run of bass harbours a dramatic edgy vibe.

can definitely say hand on heart that Rat
King do not need words to express their overwhelming creativity. The music
does without a shadow of a doubt speak volumes!”

Golden Coin Kid
This track has a Native American feel to it which is instantly
pleasing to the ears. The bass is hypnotic and blends into the mouth-watering
guitar that is spiked with rhythmic causticity and guided by a forceful drum
beat that never disappoints. It surges in a powerful and assertive way that compels
and enthrals.
Summary:
I can definitely say hand on heart that Rat King do not need words to express their overwhelming
creativity. The music does without a shadow
of a doubt speak volumes.
The edgy bass lines mesmerise and the breakdowns are masterful and
not easy to accomplish but Rat King have
everything sewn up and in the bag so to speak.
It is an E.P that you can put in the player at any time to get that
injection of inescapable hooks, and crazed but slow melody. Feel yourself sink
into the plush structures that are definitely weighed down with pure
unadulterated heaviness.
It houses its own unique venom and once listening you will find
yourself caught up in the strenuous rhythmic beats and settle cosily into their
tempting irrepressible encounters.
Three superb tracks throw the band into the spotlight and amazing to
witness live. I will be forever a Rat
King fanatic!!
Looking forward to hearing more from this trio in the future – The
Pied Pipers of Seattle are ready to control the hordes like no magic pipe could
ever do!
