Genre: Thrash/Death Metal

Biography:
“From Bayonne in southwest France, Can of Worms were formed in late 2007 by three musicians. With Steven on guitar/vocals, Julian on bass and Patrick on drums, the group from the start intended to rapidly create powerful and aggressive music, right in line with Slayer, Kreator and Exodus.

The line-up has recorded its first demo in 2009 before beginning a series of concerts and falling on the fourth member of the group in late 2009. Thus Manu guitar / vocals just close the line-up finally and give new impetus to the already well-oiled mechanics of the group.

This created a self-produced E.P in 2011, "Thrash or die" and with their first E.P in hand, the group set off for the maximum share of their music.

Thrash "old school" is welcomed as was at the concert series to mark the release of the CD, the band quickly started a new goal, pushing the boundaries of their music and provided music combining of thrash and death metal, more compromises, but this time - war was declared.

In early 2012, keeping in the vein of spirited thrash/death old school, the group evolved towards a more robust music than in the past, for example by increasing trade between thrash and death metal vocals, and reducing heavy passages in favor of thrash/death supercharged passages.

In a large apocalyptic frenzy inspired by reality but also largely science fiction, each of the ten tracks on the album tell in various ways how it all might end on the day of the Apocalypse, which is increasingly close ...

With the scene set, the group began to realize their first album was in auto production and once all taken in hand, they turned towards the serge studio Bianne "Aturri studio" for the mixing and mastering of the album "World Collapse".

The bands album was released December 21, 2012 and received an excellent reception from web-zines, and columnists into all genres that even compared the group to monuments like Testament, Machine Head, Slayer and Legion of the Damned.

The group is far from wanting to stop there and are determined to show what they still have left in their bellies!!”

Altered Genesis
Not hidden at all are aspects of technical, progressive as well as thrash and death metal elements that all combine into a crazy but powerful stab of the senses as the rhythms wrap themselves around each other and assault! The hearty vocal gruffness is complimented by a clean vocal and a mad rampage ensues.

Hybrid Heaven
The battle is well and truly underway now and without further ado a dark energetic lure of feistiness bubbles its way to the surface and explodes into a frenzy of madness.

Abyss
You can almost taste the evil that protrudes through this steely structured composition. The growling vocals are edgy and malevolent while the clean vocals screech their way into oblivion.

Chemical Witchcraft
Roars into action with a hideous growl and then mighty slabs of unyielding rhythms explode angrily captivating a certain mesmeric action as they turn into thunderous barbs of sheer provocation.

Children of Nuke
Could this track get any faster? I very much doubt it as it reaches its climax within a few seconds. The pounding rhythms expand while the guitars are alluring with brutal madness.

Doomsday Preacher
This track gives way to a sneaky bass hook that licks the ears before it melts into a frenzy of fastidiousness! Every beat, every rhythm are exacting and ready to cause a stir in the right direction.

Endless Vortex
Certainly lives up to its title this track just eats itself alive! It twists and turns with an eager heart and soul. With a turbulent swipe it scatters its embracing madness like hot ash in a crosswind!

In fact after listening to this your ears will find it difficult to focus on silence and will crave for that all round thrash/death appeal that licks your audial cavities like a rabid dog!

Arachnid
Before listening to this track I can feel the shivers down my spine at the mere word! Although the musical passage does not conjure up images of spiders - rather - speedy Gonzales on speed! As it charges around in a state of hyperactivity!

Colossal Maelstrom
This one takes a turn into further frenzied territory and batters the life from the aural. It reflects the bands rich endeavor to be like their idols but would even give them a run for their money!

Blasphemic God
If the band members don’t have bleeding fingers and vocal chords by the end of this track alone then I will be surprised. It’s thought provoking as a rich potency emerges in an all-out brawl of feisty grooves that spill forward and exacts its revenge!

Future Breed Necromancer
The invasive dark beats take your breath away as they bludgeon frantically along with a heavy bass lick and deep thunderous growls – it hardly leaves time for a melody it is so fast!

Summary:
This is one scathingly brutal act of musicianship. This band could cause you to have convulsions at 100 miles – it’s so potent and laced with its own addictive drug that keep you hooked through-out the entire album.

In fact after listening to this your ears will find it difficult to focus on silence and will crave for that all round thrash/death appeal that licks your audial cavities like a rabid dog!

It’s almost like being in a trance like state – you will only hear the music, nothing else around you will disturb your concentration as the ferocity empowers the senses that serve to possess you once and for all.

The strong vocal textures are so appealing, while a mad dash of emotions take hold – it’s a real whirlwind of turbulent madness that is impressive as it is thrilling! This is what is called the true Apocalypse!
