Biography:
“The
roots of the band go back to the year 2008, when Andrey Zvonaryov (Rhythm/Lead
guitar & Composer), Alexey Zvonaryov (Bass, Composer) decided to create a
new band under the name BEORN. But the story actually began 2012 since there
were many challenges the band had to face. In 2008-12 the band members tried to
find themselves in the world of music, constantly developing, going many
rehearsals with potential new band members, changing almost all the material...
This period is a part of the band history and never to be forgotten, but it was
an overture, a foreword to a fairy tale. 2012 BEORN turned that page and began to write a completely new story.
On
Nov. 26th, 2012 the band released an online single - "The Chest of
Deadman", which gained critical success followed by worldwide radio
rotation. At the same time the band focused on a debut studio-album. After the
single was released the band decided to part ways with Dmitriy Cherbaev due to
lack of his motivation to play Heavy Metal and his wish to concentrate on
theatre career. Sometime after the ways parted with Kate Sergeeva because of a
lack of her time. While working on the album the band was still looking for a
lead singer. Many tried out for the part and in August 2013 the band joined
Greg Kryukov as the new vocalist. And the story does not end but only begins...!”
From here to Eternity
From
the plinking of notes to serious thunderous epic chords the journey begins and
immediately captures an essence of rhythmic bait. This is one opening track
that cannot be ignored for its wondrous appetite!
Riders of the Sky
OMG
this is absolutely phenomenal! You can feel the riffs pull your face as it whizzes
from the speakers! It’s a potent track containing the strains of high pitched
screaming in a familiar symphonic power metal zone, however the riffs and
rhythms will have you catching your breath.
Star Ocean
Throws
itself into a kind of computer world and then explodes into a rampageous
melodic frenzy. The catchiness is in
abundance with superb bass hooks that latch on to the ears and lines them
something meaty to feast upon!
In Quest for Planet Eden
Holding
a very deep melodic hue that is sophisticated and soft. It breaks away from its
power surging to give us a beautiful tapestry of colourfully blended woven
music that compels and thrills.
The Chest of Dead Men
Back
to the lethal rampage this track comes out fighting its corner and creates an energetic
backdrop with sizzling reflection. It literally bounces with intent and arouses
the senses with a lively vocal and a pirate theme that is drenched in vibrant
riffs and irrefutable beats.
Space Invaders
Pushing
forward a symphony of deftly carved keyboard and strings that simply ignites
the magic. Its deep veins pulse with a breath-taking calibre that shines with a
magnitude of highly charged melodies. Slowing down just enough for the listener
to wallow in its vibrant tendencies and captures a haunting charm.
Galaxy in Flames
The
thunderous magic continues with an epic lure of contagion and dark gripping
vocal edginess, the track weaves with twisting captivation, embracing the ears
and stealing the soul. The riffs know no limits and soar effortlessly,
swaggering under its own weight, and gets its hands dirty with a powerfully
sonic embrace!

Phantom Ship
Flirting
with a devilish whirling demon attack, the track blossoms quickly and without
warning. It reveals more than the ears can take in, but the gist is
invigorating and creative in its mad flurry to peak attention and has a larger
than life character!
Ray of Hope (Incubus
Possessing
a sleek magnetic pull of lively and thrilling endeavour that’s tempting and
haunting, it lacks nothing; from powerful chords and stark uplifting keyboard
notes that gain momentum and leaves an impressing and enjoyable experience
behind it.
The Beast
As
its title would suggest this is another track that does battle with the ears in
a very tempting fashion. Injecting a raw but melodic frenzy into its spectacular
and turbulent structure and smothering the ears in a grand and hellacious
nature although the vocals sound slightly off kilter here, which is a shame, as
the track bleeds with a certain creativity.
Coming Home
Seriously
infecting with a sophistication an inspiring track that sees the close of a
phenomenal album. The tones are monumental and expressive, venomously attacking
the lobes from all angles and coaxing with uncompromising energy, although again
slightly losing losing its vocal edge.
Summary:
On
a couple of occasions it feels like the vocals can’t keep up with the bruising
vitriolic punches the music possesses, however it is only a slight niggle and
one that can be overlooked as together it works!
It
is superbly produced and executed to near on perfection, urging all to seek
what the band are offering.
Rich
in a symphonic glaze that thunderously beats the living daylights out of your
ears and then in an instant can soothe the brow like a good painkiller!
Increasingly
compelling and forthright it stands its ground and is an enjoyable escapade
that warrants the attention it deserves. Pulling emotions from your head and
leaving the body in a state of shock as it mesmerizes with its epic power
chords and haunting melodies.
This
album will stalk, it will prey on your weaknesses and it will inflame the
senses beyond reason! Be warned!
