In the bands
own words:
“Designs of Chaos started life in mid-2010, with
their first performance in December 2010. Hailing from London and the south
east this five piece metal monster bring a slightly different take on the
NWOBHM. Crushing riffs, melody, blistering solo's, break- neck beats and
brutally powerful vocals make for an altogether awesome experience”
Really superb
album cover that is highly imaginative and would look good in any CD
collection!

Filler
track/Intro
Blood Oath
Ripples with
an extreme urgency and a strenuous harsh vocal with lashings of
melodies that will delight the aural cavities, the torrents of extremity are encased
in a flurry of drum beats that pound relentlessly with quite a sinewy array of
ferocity – Great track!
Infected Humanity
Unleashes some
ferocious power soaked rhythms and gnarly encompassing vocals onto the
listener, whilst the deluge of guitar flows and ebbs like a tidal wave of
destruction. The softer moments of whispered vocals are a nice touch, but the
fluctuations don’t last long before its kicking ass again.
Designs of Chaos!
Plague of Cannibals
Interesting
title – the flurry of riffs surge into a melting pot of provoking and emotional
splendorous riffs that’s straddled by a vehement drum beat and caustic vocal that
in turn is nicely balanced with a strong bass hook. Impacting track with plenty
of clout!
No Turning Back
Shrill and
startling opening it builds slowly so you can savour the contents and then
explodes into a raucous scream. The melodies and rhythms twist around each
other and offer a bigger colourful picture that is strong in structural detail.
The guitar riffs come into their own on this track and are engaging as they are
enthralling.
To Sum up:
A good balanced
E.P with plenty to savour. The vocals
are tremendous and will leave you hungry and wanting more. Powerful and
compelling it will leave abrasions on the ears and probably give you whiplash injuries
too! The beautiful melodic hooks will mesmerise and are irresistible, whilst on
the other hand offering a good brutal and savage attack on the senses. Highly
enjoyable and persistent in quality grooves and ferocity. It lashes out with fists flying - but not
sure about the filler track.
