The Last Band – Gothenburg, Sweden
Links:
Genre: Hard Rock
Biography:
“The
Last Band from Gothenburg plays aggressive hard rock/metal. They formed in 2011
and already in 2012 they competed against hundreds of bands in Jägermeister’s
contest "Released, Live & Unsigned" and won the title
"Sweden’s best unsigned live act".
In
2013 they released a single in Sweden Rock Magazine together with Jägermeister
and played both Sweden Rock Festival and Metal town with bands such as KISS,
Rush, Slipknot and more.
The
Last Band is truly a live band and a great one with loads of energy that leaves
no one untouched.
In
2014 they released another 2-track single and headed out to tour New York as
headliner for four shows. They made many new friends & fans and Dead Timez
Magazine gave them a full page interview in one of their issues.
In
2015 they released their first full length album "Rats Of
Gothenburg", played Tons Of Rock Festival and also opened up for both
Snowy Shaw and Sepultra.
In
2016, only nine months after the first album was released, the band entered the
studio once again to record the upcoming album "The Fall" which will
be released together with Sony Music/GAIN on November 4th and will be followed
by an extended tour around Europe as support for Avatar!”

The Hunt –
seizing the moment with an ever growing sound that expands into a bouncing chug
The Last Band are well on their way
with their compelling and uncaged hard rock timepiece, due out at the end of
the month.
The Fall – Pounds
it way through a barrage of heavy rhythms and catchy riffs, helped along by rasping throaty vocal. It’s a rather
vehement track that offers a lot of deranged infection!
White Powder – Has an
astounding beginning that builds to a high octane level and is fuel injected
with vicious screams. The impressive vocals gives the track character and
flair.
Pretty Boys – This
track brings instant intrigue as it offers challenging riffs and a pounding
beat that weaves a colourful tapestry of sounds all of which are pleasing to
the audial.
A Place Beyond – Another
predatory vitriolic track that changes moods although nearly always angry and
heartfelt.
Move – Is a
rather tempered track that allows the drums to begin the rampage and then
adding a nagging guitar riff. The emotive forces all working and blending into
another angry and explosive track.
6 out of 7 – Interesting
title! this one leaves scars as it bruises through its paces with thrilling
hooks and a rock solid explosive delivery.
Pulled a lot of shit – Compelling
and stirring the senses with rousing
endeavour. It is almost sultry in approach but definitely predatory!
Bleeding On – Literally
stomps all over your ears with evil contempt! It shows no love as it pushes
through with vicious vocal and damming beats. Its demeanour is one of hate.
Give me the Sky – and
finally putting a sad end to this
fuel injected hate machine, the band have not scrimped one bit and are hell
bent on going out with a bang!
The
venomous rhythms and inescapable riffs are hungry to show off the bands talents
which it does indeed on this monster album!
